Websites and Blogs
What's the difference between the two? Anyone could be forgiven for being confused because they're referred to in such a general nature that opinions differ widely. Let's take a quick look at what an 'authoritative' definition of the two terms might be.

Website: a set of related web pages located under a single domain name, typically produced by a single person or organisation.

Blog: a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.

From the above Oxford authored definitions alone, we can see that one can't exist without the other.
You can't have a blog without a website or web page to host it on, nor can you have a website without web pages containing information of some description, so the two terms essentially mean the same thing.

That explained; a blog is a bit more single targetted compared to a website and can be thought of as a collection of articles and ideas. Thoughts and/or opinions are given by a person, company, or organisation.
A blog can also be written by a group of people collaborating with each other. In short, the definition of a blog is a means of sharing information with others online.

Since the internet explosion, blogging has become a widely popular pastime, and information (read opinions) on just about any topic imaginable can be found on online blogs.
